Who made it
Bloomalizer is a solo side project by Alan Kohler — a DJ and engineer based in Basel, playing as Alan Koh.
Sixteen years behind the decks, mostly downtempo, organic house and melodic house & techno, across Switzerland, Berlin and Koh Phangan. The other half of the time: engineering. An MSc from ETH Zürich, and a decade building data platforms and AI systems — pipelines, LLM and agent-based tools, the kind of infrastructure that has to hold up in production.
Two worlds that don't obviously meet. Bloomalizer is where they do.
I built it because I wanted visuals that actually listen — that follow the texture and movement of a track rather than blinking along to a kick drum. Less an animation that reacts to audio, more something you can pick up and play. Everything runs live in your browser: no install, no render queue, no waiting. Point it at a track, a mix, or whatever's playing, and watch it take shape.
It's still growing, and it's free to use while it grows.
